Singing with Prudence

Experience the incredible benefits of singing together – with performing, recording and teaching artist Prudence Johnson as your fearless leader.

As a member of this ensemble class, you will:

• Learn to use and strengthen your voice.
• Sing a diverse array of new music.
• Be given opportunities for solos.

Prudence will also cover information ranging from the physical mechanics of singing, to learning notation and rhythm, to accessing the emotional content of a song. All of this is designed to improve your appreciation for music and your own abilities and confidence as a musician.  (Class capacity:  10)

Hand Drumming

This class is powerfully good fun, and the least expensive therapy session in town! You’ll experience a spirited, joyful introduction to the African organizing principles of clave.  You’ll learn 6/8 and 4/4 clave patterns, increase your understanding of rhythm and time, explore the history and geographic origins of clave and more. (3+ students)

Camden Community Choir

Treat yourself to a joyful hour a week singing pop, classical and a capella choral music with friends and neighbors. Good for your voice. Good for your soul. Note reading and some choral experience a plus, but not required. (7+ students)

We Can Work It Out: Rock ‘n Roll for Adults

You’ve always wanted to be in a rock ‘n roll band, but…
It’s been a long time since you’ve played in a band, but…
You really love to sing, but…
No more buts! Live what you love! Plug in, learn a song a week, and play to your heart’s content during this rock ‘n roll getaway. You’ll get the chance to step out and perform, too. (3+ students)

Requirements: Basic knowledge of your instrument.

Instruments:  Guitar, bass guitar, drum set, keyboards, vocals, horns and other instruments – all welcome.

Provided: Drum set, PA, mics.
